Position: CNC Machinist

Salary Range: ₦350,000 – ₦400,000
Job Summary
Our client, a leading engineering and fabrication company specializing in tubular drill pipe repairs, casing repairs, wellhead repairs, completions equipment manufacture, welding and fabrication services, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist. The role requires precision in operating and maintaining CNC machines to support the manufacture, repair, and fabrication of vital oilfield and industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in CNC machining, a solid understanding of engineering drawings, and relevant industry certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to perform precision machining of tubular components and related equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to produce high-quality machined parts.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality of finished products through precision measuring tools and techniques.
- Conduct machining for drill pipes, casings, wellhead parts, flanges, spools, stabilizers, and other fabricated components.
- Work closely with welders, fitters, and fabricators to deliver integrated repair and manufacturing solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain safety standards and comply with company and industry (API, VAM) regulations.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support to production teams.
Requirements
- Certification in API, VAM is a must.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a CNC Machinist in oil & gas fabrication, tubular repair, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine programming, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply precision machining techniques.
- Familiarity with fabrication shop equipment including welding machines, grinding machines, and related tools.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
