Job Summary:
We are seeking four diligent and detail-oriented Engineers to support the field operations of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) implementation project. These roles are crucial for ensuring accurate asset data collection, verification, and organization, laying the foundation for a successful CMMS deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Physical Asset Verification: Conduct on-site inspections to confirm the existence, condition, and location of physical assets, ensuring alignment with existing records.
- Data Recording and Verification: Accurately record asset information, including specifications, serial numbers, and operational status. Cross-verify collected data against existing databases to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Equipment Tagging: Affix identification tags (e.g., barcodes, RFID) to assets lacking proper labeling, ensuring each asset is uniquely and correctly identified.
- 5S Implementation: Apply the 5S methodology—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—to organize the workspace, eliminate waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Material Sorting and Documentation: Classify and document materials and equipment based on usability, condition, and relevance to operations, facilitating informed decision-making regarding asset utilization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of field data into the CMMS.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on field activities, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in asset management, maintenance operations, or CMMS-related projects.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PEFS), and other engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certifications: Certifications in CMMS, asset management, or lean methodologies are advantageous.
- Additional Requirements: Familiarity with oil and gas operations is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role requiring regular site visits and physical inspections.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety guidelines. Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate site operations.
