1. Teaching and Instruction
- Deliver lessons in core subjects
- Plan, prepare, and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum objectives.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to varying learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students.
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
2. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring
- Assess student work through formal and informal methods (quizzes, tests, observations).
- Track and record progress, ensuring students meet learning targets.
- Provide feedback to students and parents about performance.
- Identify students needing additional support or enrichment.
3. Classroom Management
- Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
- Develop and enforce classroom rules and routines.
- Manage student behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and appropriate interventions.
4. Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including other teachers, support staff, and administration.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
5. Professional Development
- Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay updated on teaching practices and curriculum changes.
- Reflect on teaching practices and seek feedback for improvement.
6. Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student data.
- Prepare report cards and documentation as required by the school.
- Organize and manage classroom materials and resources.
7. Student Support and Well-being
- Promote the social and emotional development of students.
- Be attentive to student welfare, including signs of abuse, neglect, or mental health issues, and report concerns appropriately.
- Support students in developing positive relationships and life skills.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification/license for the relevant grade/subject.
- Experience in classroom teaching (student teaching or prior experience).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with educational technologies and digital learning tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦75,000.00 - ₦100,000.00 per month
