Job Summary
The Chief Sales Manager (CSM) is a core member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving revenue growth and leading the company’s sales efforts, with a strong focus on selling the company's technology and digital services . The CSM will create and execute sales strategies to acquire and grow client accounts across high-impact industries while leading a high-performing sales team and shaping the company’s public-facing growth narrative.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Leadership
- Lead aggressive sales campaigns across all digital service lines.
- Own and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue goals.
- Close high-value deals with enterprise clients and government agencies.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and optimise sales strategies tailored to each tech service.
- Create and refine pricing models, service packages, and retainer offerings.
- Expand client base in Nigeria and other African markets.
Sales Team Building & Oversight
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of Business Development Managers and Sales Executives.
- Design and manage a performance-driven incentive structure.
- Provide mentorship and support to help the team consistently hit targets.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Prospect, pitch, and close deals with C-level decision-makers.
- Nurture key accounts for renewals, upsells, and long-term growth.
- Actively gather client feedback to improve offerings and positioning.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Product, Tech, and Marketing teams to align goals.
- Provide market insight to guide innovation and service development. Report sales metrics and pipeline status to the CEO.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record in technology solution sales
- Deep understanding of B2B digital services
- Ability to manage and scale high-performing sales teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and closing skills
- Knowledge of CRM tools like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
