Reports To: Cardiologist
Employment Type: Full-Time
Monthly Net Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦350,000 (Based on years of experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technician to join our cardiac team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will support cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and pacemaker insertions. This role requires proficiency in operating advanced imaging and monitoring equipment, with strict attention to sterile procedures and patient safety protocols throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Procedure:
Prepare and maintain sterile field and instruments.
Assist in patient preparation, positioning, sterilization, and administration of medications.
Review patient history and confirm readiness for procedure.
Perform pre-procedure equipment checks.
Ensure availability and validity of all required consumables and tools.
During Procedure:
Operate fluoroscopy, ECG, and hemodynamic monitoring systems under direction.
Monitor and document patient vitals continuously.
Assist with catheter insertions, dye injections, and use of instruments.
Uphold all radiation safety and infection control standards.
Post-Procedure:
Monitor patient during recovery and assist with catheter removal and dressings.
Clean and restock the lab in preparation for the next procedure.
Complete post-procedure documentation and participate in case debriefs.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Certifications:
Degree or Diploma in Physiology, Health Sciences, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field.
Certification in Cath Lab Technology (preferred).
NYSC completion is mandatory.
Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
RCIS certification is an added advantage.
Possession of a valid professional license (where applicable).
Experience:
1–3 years’ hands-on experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology lab.
Exceptional fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.

Skilled in the operation of cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment.

Work Conditions:
Regular exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and fast-paced procedures.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Physically capable of assisting patients and handling heavy equipment.
