Business Development officer

Job Title: Business Development Officer (BDO)
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities to consistently grow company revenue.
• Research market trends and competitors, turning insights into deals and strategic actions.
• Build a structured sales pipeline and use CRM/analytics to improve conversion rates.
• Prepare tailored proposals, presentations, and sales materials for high-value prospects.
• Lead client communications, gather feedback, and drive repeat business and referrals.
• Negotiate pricing, scope, and timelines in collaboration with the Creative Director to protect company interests.
• Coordinate with Finance on invoices and receivables, and provide weekly/monthly reports on leads, conversions, revenue, and pipeline.
• Collaborate with the Creative/Media teams on growth strategies, digital campaigns, and brand positioning.
• Develop and update business plans and sales strategies to support long-term growth goals.
• Build partnerships with architects, developers, real estate firms, and other stakeholders to expand reach.
• Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions, and industry forums to win visibility and clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years proven experience in Business Development (experience in Interior Design / Real Estate / Architecture is an added advantage).
• Strong network and ability to build high-value relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Track record of winning new business and growing accounts.
• Data-driven mindset with analytical skills.
• Ability to create and implement business plans and strategies.
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good knowledge of Lagos business environment and ability to identify growth opportunities.

Compensation & Structure:

• Role is self-managed and performance-driven; earnings are tied to results.
• Salary: ₦250,000 – ₦400,000 monthly (depending on performance & results).
