Job Summary: A results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales initiatives and drive business growth across FCT, Abuja, and the Northern Regions of Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving revenue targets for the company's full range of electrical products. This role demands strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to guide and support a sales team.
Duties & Responsibilities / What You Will Do
- Promote and sell the company’s products by developing relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Perform sales activities on major accounts, including price negotiation and discount structuring.
- Develop and execute sales forecast plans aligned with overall business strategy to ensure revenue growth.
- Support Sales Executives in building rapport with key decision-makers.
- Track key business metrics by territory and product lines to drive performance.
- Prepare Proforma invoices and quotations for customers.
- Manage product lines to maximize revenue and meet strategic goals.
- Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and assess competitors.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and suggest product improvements or new product opportunities.
- Prepare competitive price analysis reports.
- Provide excellent client support and resolve complaints by identifying problems and offering solutions.
- Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction through regular feedback and surveys.
- Submit periodic sales reports to the Country Manager.
- Mentor and support less experienced team members by sharing best practices and technical knowledge. Attend trade fairs and industry exhibitions to expand knowledge and network.
Required Qualifications / This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Below
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- MBA or Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales within the electrical industry.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
