Job Summary:
We are recruiting for our client company; a law firm, who is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Clerk to support the smooth operation of our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including document filing, meeting coordination, court process preparation, and staff support. The role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions from the principal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper filing systems and ensure all documents are accurately filed and accessible.
- Attend meetings as required and develop clear and concise meeting minutes.
- Coordinate administrative activities across departments to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Schedule and organize meetings, appointments, and events as directed by the principal.
- Assist in the preparation of court documents and ensure timely filing and submission.
- Ensure attendance of staff at meetings and other required functions.
- Act as a liaison between the principal and other staff, relaying instructions and follow-ups as necessary.
- Maintain calendars and assist in prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
- Provide general clerical support including photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in administration or legal studies is a plus.
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional travel for court-related tasks or meetings.
- Standard working hours with possible flexibility for urgent tasks.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8am - 6pm
Saturdays: (occasionally) 8am - 6pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From ₦70,000.00 per month
