Job Position: Accounting Assistant

About the Role
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities including data entry and invoice processing
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial filing systems
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage petty cash and staff expense reimbursements
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries
- Support the COO with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel.
