Job Position: Accountant

About the Role
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to join our team in Asaba.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records, statements, and reports.
- Maintain accurate ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory remittances.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow and support effective financial decision-making.
- Provide financial advice to management for cost control and efficiency.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
