Job Title: Accountant
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos State

Job Summary
Our client, a Consulting firm with a focus on the Fin-Tech Industry is seeking to hire the services of an experienced Accountant. This role will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's financial health by managing accounting and financial operations, developing and implementing financial strategies, and providing leadership to the finance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees Accounting operations, which include financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of general ledger and internal accounts.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports to ensure performance.
• Maintains best fixed asset system.
• Provide advice and assistance in making decisions in the areas of finances.
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Prepare all monthly client invoicing and vendor payments.
• Coordinate the accounting team by determining priorities.
• Reconcile the organization’s bank account, and resolve any statement queries.
• Raise payment vouchers, Manage overall expenditure
• Document project financial account.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from an accredited University
• Relevant professional qualification e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPFA, etc. is and added advantage
• 3 -5 years of demonstrable experience in accounting
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.

Salary: 400,000-500,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦400,000.00 - ₦500,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lagos: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Undergraduate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accountant: 3 years (Preferred)
