Our client is a leading boutique interior design firm that specialises in high-end commercial and hospitality projects for leading global clients. They are committed to delivering exceptional design and execution that transforms spaces and elevates brands. They are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Analyst to join their team and play a critical role in executing people operations.
The Accounts Analyst will carry out postings, bookkeeping, collecting, tracking, and management of data on our company’s finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling banks statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate at all times.*
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure implementation of accounting standards and policies to ensure financial compliance and efficiency at all times.
- Provision of accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of the business on a weekly basis in the form of a business snapshot.
- Manage the entire accounting workflow from invoicing to reporting, with activities not limited to; accounts payable and receivable, reconcile statements, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Prepare budgets and carry out variance analysis monthly.
- Preparation of and interpretation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports for use by the relevant stakeholders.
- Computing, filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations and ensuring the company is compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Thoroughly scrutinise source documents relating to bills and purchases, ensuring every expenditure has a backup document and with easily located paper trail.
- Audit financial transactions from time to time and be audit ready in-turn.
- Ensure that the accounting software used by the company is always accurate and free from errors or mumbled up charts of accounts.
- Must continue to adapt to and ready to implement innovative processes to improve efficiency in financial operations.
- Determine ways to manage costs and improve profitability.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
- ICAN/ACCA membership compulsory
- Very experienced in bookkeeping.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the design, architecture, manufacturing or construction industries.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Zoho, Sage.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal tax and other accounting laws, and must be current in the accounting community
