Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and professional Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in the IkejaOgbaBerger Axis . The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Laboratory Technician with proven phlebotomy experience. This role involves accurate specimen collection, patient care, and adherence to laboratory safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collection procedures accurately and safely.
- Prepare blood, urine, and other specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Properly label and document specimens to ensure traceability and prevent errors.
- Handle, store, and transport specimens according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist patients during procedures, ensuring comfort and reassurance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collection area and equipment.
- Record patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols. Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Laboratory Technician with relevant certification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.
- Strong knowledge of standard phlebotomy procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
