Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join our Workshop & Maintenance Department. The role is responsible for carrying out welding and fabrication work on trucks, trailers, and other company assets to ensure structural integrity, safety, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong welding experience (arc, MIG, TIG) with heavy-duty vehicles, metal fabrication, and repair of structural parts.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication work on trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment.
- Repair and reinforce damaged vehicle body frames, chassis, and structural components.
- Cut, join, and shape metal parts using welding machines, gas cutting, and related tools.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair specifications.
- Ensure welding and fabrication work meets safety and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
- Assist panel beaters, mechanics, and other technicians in vehicle repairs where welding is required.
- Maintain accurate records of welding and fabrication work carried out.
- Observe strict safety protocols, including use of PPE and safe handling of equipment.
- Support other maintenance tasks in the workshop as assigned.
Requirements:
- Technical diploma, vocational training, or equivalent certification in Welding/Fabrication.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a welder (experience with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or construction equipment is preferred).
- Proficiency in different welding techniques (arc, MIG, TIG, and gas welding).
- Good knowledge of metal properties and fabrication methods.
- Ability to operate cutting, grinding, and shaping equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
- Physically fit, with ability to handle demanding tasks.
- Willingness to work extended hours or respond to urgent repairs when required.

Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
