Job Summary
We are seeking a smart, well-groomed, and customer-focused Waiter to join our hospitality team in Lekki. The ideal candidate must have 2–3 years of relevant experience in a reputable restaurant, lounge, or hotel, and should possess a pleasant demeanor, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. This role is ideal for proactive individuals who take pride in guest satisfaction and uphold professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting and Seating Guests
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
Present menus and offer suggestions on meals, beverages, and specials.
Taking Orders
Accurately take and relay food and drink orders to kitchen and bar staff.
Offer recommendations and provide clarity on menu items when needed.
Serving Food and Drinks
Promptly serve meals and beverages, ensuring correct orders and clean presentation.
Check on guests periodically and respond to additional requests courteously.
Handling Payments
Present bills, process cash or card payments, and provide correct change or receipts.
Dining Area Maintenance
Set up tables before service and clear them promptly after use.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area at all times.
Customer Service
Address customer inquiries or complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
Strive to exceed guest expectations and promote repeat business.
Communication and Coordination
Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
Support fellow waitstaff to maintain a smooth and organized dining operation.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a hospitality service role.
SSCE/OND qualification (hospitality-related certifications are an added advantage).
Excellent command of English with strong verbal communication skills.
Smart and presentable appearance with a friendly, confident attitude.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure, and work efficiently.
Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods.
Basic arithmetic skills for accurate billing and change handling.
Knowledge of food and beverage items, including allergens and dietary restrictions.
