Job Title: UI/UX Designer (Mid to Senior Level) – Remote (Nigeria)
Location: Remote (Based in Nigeria)
Job Type: Full-Time Role Summary Alpha Global is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications. With at least 5 years of experience, you will lead design projects from user research through prototyping and final implementation, ensuring user-centric designs that meet business goals and accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to guide design decisions.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and interactive mockups using modern design tools.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate designs into functional interfaces.
- Maintain and update design systems to ensure consistency across products.
- Ensure all designs meet accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics insights.
- Document design specifications and provide clear handoffs to development teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and problem-solving.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Adobe Certified Expert (ACE).
- Google UX Design Certificate.
- Human Factors International (HFI). Certified Usability Analyst Technical Skills.
- Certified Usability Analyst.
Technical Skills:
- Design Tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision.
- Prototyping: Principle, Marvel, Axure (any).
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript basics (preferred).
- Accessibility Standards: WCAG, ARIA.
- User Research Tools: Hotjar, Google Analytics, UserTesting.com
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks and their design requirements.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and design aesthetics.
- Analytical mindset to interpret user data and feedback.
- Adaptability and openness to feedback.
