We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer to join our team in Dole, France. As the resident expert in switch characterization and testing, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering, production, and sales teams, in particular by providing technical support and carrying out tests tailored to customer requirements. These activities will enable you to verify the robustness of the switches, validate production processes and contribute to the development of new products. You will report directly to the Laboratory Manager.
About The Job
- Lead test equipment set-up, software development, hardware-software integration, test execution, documentation, and communication of results to internal and external customers.
- Support design verification, process validation, and applications testing to help secure design wins and drive revenue growth.
- Manage and Guide Engineers and Technicians, providing technical assistance and direction as needed.
- Develop and execute test setups and acquire new characterization methods to improve test accuracy, efficiency, and data quality.
- Enhance test procedures using software tools such as VEE, LabWindows, Visual Basic, Visual C, C/C++, and similar languages to streamline testing and data analysis.
- Communicate test results clearly to stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
- Recommend and help implement new lab equipment, tools, and procedure improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Maintain test equipment, including calibration, periodic maintenance, and inventory of consumables.

About You
- MS or BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent – required to ensure strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Test Engineering within the electronics and/or semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience designing and assembling test equipment in a production or laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with testing a wide range of devices, such as switches, fuses, PTCs, electromechanical devices, semiconductors, and similar components.
- Ability to configure and operate a tensile testing machine, using specialized software such as Tesworks4 or Test Suite for data acquisition and analysis.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Solid programming skills in a visual language (VEE, LabWindows, Visual Basic, Visual C, C/C++).
- Good understanding of analog/digital electronics, circuit protection devices, and discrete semiconductors.
- Basic knowledge of GPIB or other PC-based test equipment control.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to identify and implement new tools or methods.
