Job Description/Requirements
Prime Powerco Limited, a leading player in the engineering, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors, is seeking a Technical Adviser to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role requires an experienced professional with expertise in procurement, project management, engineering, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple units, including HSE, Power as a Service, site engineers, supply chain and procurement, AC technicians, and fibre technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and technical advice across multiple units, including HSE, power as a service, site engineers, supply chain and procurement, AC technicians, and fibre technicians.
- Lead technical assessments and feasibility studies for new and ongoing projects, ensuring all aspects of procurement, engineering, and project management are effectively coordinated.
- Supervise and guide project teams, ensuring that all technical solutions and decisions align with the company’s goals, standards, and client expectations.
- Oversee the efficient and timely execution of all projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of required resources.
- Collaborate with the HSE team to ensure that safety and environmental standards are adhered to across all operations and projects.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technical solutions to improve operations and service delivery. Monitor project performance and provide solutions to overcome challenges and resolve technical issues promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 10-12 years of experience in technical advisory roles, with proven expertise in project management, procurement, engineering, and technical leadership.
- Strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams, including HSE, power services, site engineers, supply chain, and technical personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, project management methodologies, and engineering best practices.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, with an ability to guide technical decisions in line with evolving technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships. Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and safety practices.
