Fodarc Atelier, a fast-growing architectural design and consultancy firm based in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to hire a Technical Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a strong knowledge of technical construction details and methodologies as well as experience in producing comprehensive construction drawings and documentation.
Job Overview Job Type: Full-time Minimum Qualification: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Architecture. Additional professional certifications would be an added advantage. Experience Level: Intermediate Experience Length: 3-5 years minimum in similar roles Location: Anthony or Lekki Phase 1, Lagos Responsibilities

• Create architectural designs.
• Create and oversee construction documentation, specifications, and models.
• Ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Provide technical solutions to design challenges, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to integrate all technical aspects of the project.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries during project execution.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and address any issues promptly.
Review and approve construction drawings, materials, and systems for quality and compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in architectural and technical project management.
• Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp as well as Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction standards.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and contractors.
• Ability to create detailed shop drawings.
Ability to create as built drawings.
