Position: Retail Store Manager (with Brand & Design Focus)
Overall Purpose:

We're looking to hire a store manager who will lead the comprehensive operation of the retail store, driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and fostering a positive team environment. Serve as the primary local steward of our brand identity, executing visual merchandising standards and ensuring consistent brand messaging throughout all store interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Leadership & Operational Excellence:
- Manage all daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, safety, and strict adherence to company policies and standards.
- Implement set strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets, profitability goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee store budgeting, financial record-keeping, expense control, and administrative tasks.
- Collate sales data, identify trends, and generate regular performance reports for management.
- Customer Experience & Team Management:
- Champion exceptional customer service, proactively resolving concerns, and building strong customer loyalty.
- Schedule, supervise, motivate, and manage shop floor staff.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and brand-aligned team culture.
- Brand Execution & Visual Identity:
- Implement and meticulously maintain Garbe's brand identity, voice, and visual standards within the physical store environment and all customer interactions.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all store communications (signage, staff interactions, local promotions).
- Inventory & Loss Prevention:
- Oversee all aspects of inventory management: accurate receiving, stock level monitoring, timely replenishment ordering, stock rotation, markdowns, and shrinkage/loss prevention.
- Maintain precise stock records and conduct regular inventory audits.
- Design Support & Store Environment:
- Maintain a clean, safe, functional, and visually compelling store layout and ambiance.
- Provide practical design support: Research relevant design trends and customer preferences; assist in developing prototypes and coordinate with vendors on design elements.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Retail Management Expertise: Proven ability to drive sales, manage P&L, control budgets, supervise staff, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Customer Focus: Outstanding customer service skills, conflict resolution, and relationship building.
- Brand Stewardship: Strong understanding of brand identity principles and the ability to execute them consistently in a retail setting.
- Basic Design Aptitude: Creative thinking, problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Clear and effective communication with staff, customers, senior management, and vendors. Strong team leadership and motivation abilities.
- Organizational & Administrative Skills: Excellent planning, prioritisation, time management, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data, understand KPIs, and make data-informed decisions.
- Operational Rigor: Commitment to maintaining high standards of store organization, safety, and compliance.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail store management, preferably in fashion, home goods, or a similar design-conscious environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store profitability.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management.
- Experience with inventory management systems and processes.
- Experience in visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Pay: ₦300,000.00 per month
