Job Description/Requirements
The ideal candidate would be a creative, strategic, and driven Social Media Manager who can connect with and amplify our digital presence, promoting our critical work through engaging, informative, and impactful content for our community.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow all social media platforms , including Instagram and TikTok, with strong awareness of platform-specific trends and strategies.
- Plan, schedule, and publish content, develop monthly content calendars, and t rack performance against KPIs that align with brand goals and engagement objectives using social media management tools.
- Create visually compelling content (graphics, short-form videos, reels, infographics) that drives awareness and audience interaction.
- Edit photos and videos for digital use, optimizing them for each platform.
- Monitor analytics and performance metrics , using insights to inform content strategy and report growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (medical and management) to gather compelling stories, case updates, and operational insights. This role will also require occasional field participation, joining teams on assignments to capture real-time photos and video content for use across social media platforms.
- Stay current on social media trends in healthcare, emergency response , and local market dynamics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Social Media Manager ( preferably in healthcare, emergency services, or public service-related industries).
- Strong portfolio of past work (must include TikTok and Instagram campaigns).
- Proficiency in photo and video editing tools .
- Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram algorithms, trends, and engagement strategies.
- Exceptional storytelling and written communication skills.
- Must be creative, consistent, deadline-driven, and able to work independently.
- Must be based in Lagos and must have availability to work in-office and the team for stand-bys multiple times per month, as needed, to support real-time content creation and collaboration. Send your resume, social media portfolio (include links to pages managed)
