Position Brief: The Showroom Manager will oversee the daily operations of the furniture & stationery showroom, ensuring optimal sales performance, excellent customer service, and efficient stock management. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive revenue growth, maintain high visual merchandising standards, and manage a motivated sales team.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for both furniture and stationery categories.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend pricing or promotional adjustments.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to management.
- Ensure all customers receive professional, prompt, and friendly service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with corporate and walk-in clients to encourage repeat business.
- Maintain the showroom’s cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and quality checks of products.
- Ensure all price tags, product descriptions, and displays are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and display of products.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
- Supervise, train, and motivate showroom sales staff to achieve individual and team goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Develop work schedules and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
- Maintain accurate sales, expense, and customer records.
- Provide weekly and monthly operational updates to management.
- Manage petty cash and ensure financial transactions comply with company policy.
