Job Summary:
We are hiring a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer (Contract) to support one of our key U.S.-based technology partners. This is a remote, contract-based position requiring full-time availability during U.S. business hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support enterprise applications and cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud infrastructure
- Manage and optimize resources including VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, and Storage
- Automate infrastructure using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
- Ensure compliance with cloud governance and security policies
- Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
- Collaborate with global teams to align infrastructure with application needs
- Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including at least 3 years working extensively with Microsoft Azure
- Strong knowledge of Azure services including compute, networking, storage, and identity
- Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AKS)
- Strong understanding of security best practices and cost optimization in Azure
- Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator) preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones
- Previous experience working on international projects is a plus
