Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer (Contract) to support one of our key U.S.-based technology partners. This is a remote, contract-based position requiring full-time availability during U.S. business hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support enterprise applications and cloud transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud infrastructure
• Manage and optimize resources including VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, and Storage
• Automate infrastructure using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
• Ensure compliance with cloud governance and security policies
• Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
• Collaborate with global teams to align infrastructure with application needs
• Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including at least 3 years working extensively with Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including compute, networking, storage, and identity
• Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AKS)
• Strong understanding of security best practices and cost optimization in Azure
• Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator) preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones
• Previous experience working on international projects is a plus

• Compensation: N800,000.00 per month
