As a Retail Pharmacist, you will be critical in ensuring quality healthcare delivery through medication management, patient care, and pharmacy operations.
Location: Shasha, Lagos
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing Medications: Ensure prescriptions are accurately filled, providing patients with the correct dosage and instructions for use.
- Patient Consultation: Offer guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, drug interactions, and over-the-counter medications.
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM): Assess patient medications to enhance therapy, avoid negative interactions, and ensure correct medication adherence.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, liaise with the central warehouse, and ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked with essential medications.
- Compliance & Regulations: Keep informed about pharmacy laws and regulations to ensure that all prescriptions and controlled substances adhere to ethical and legal standards.
- Customer Service: Provide a professional and friendly experience, resolve customer complaints, and offer health-related advice.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including prescription history and immunization records.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure proper patient treatment and medication plans.
- Managing Drug Utilization: Assess medication regimens to prevent misuse, overuse, or adverse effects.
- Administer vaccines such as flu shots and COVID-19 immunizations where permitted.
Requirements:
- B.Pharm degree from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- At least 2 years of post-NYSC experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
- Strong knowledge of medications, interactions, and regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proximity to Shasha, Alimosho Lagos, is an advantage.
