Heroes Help is a volunteer-led charity supporting members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. With a national footprint across six directorates and state-level teams, we deliver essential services in mental health, education, welfare, and community support.
We are seeking a Programme Development and Delivery Manager (Volunteer) to lead the design and implementation of high-impact programmes across Nigeria. This role is vital in turning our mission into action through structured, strategic programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop impactful programmes aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals and the needs of beneficiaries
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of programmes into frontline service delivery
Create delivery models, programme frameworks, and risk management tools (e.g. risk registers)
Lead planning, coordination, and implementation of new and existing programmes
Manage projects end-to-end including timelines, work plans, budgets, and reporting
Ensure quality assurance and delivery standards are met on time and within budget
Support learning and continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback
Document programme outcomes and support donor reporting and grant applications
Requirements:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience designing or managing nonprofit or development programmes
Strong understanding of programme cycle management and results-based frameworks
Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, timeline tracking, and reporting
Desirable:
Certification in Programme/Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
Familiarity with safeguarding principles, trauma-informed design, or community-led development
Knowledge of development sector operations within Nigeria or Africa
