  • Procurement Specialist duties include researching suppliers, ensuring that all purchased products and materials meets specifications, and negotiating with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities


  • Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
  • Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
  • Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred with 4 - 5 years of experience.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and compare offers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Develop procurement strategies and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Resolve supplier or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
  • Review and update procurement policies and procedures.
  • Implement risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

Other requirements:

  • Experience in EPC (Engineering, procurement and Construction) is required.
  • Candidates living within Ajah axis are preferable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning system.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month.
