- Procurement Specialist duties include researching suppliers, ensuring that all purchased products and materials meets specifications, and negotiating with vendors as needed.
Responsibilities
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred with 4 - 5 years of experience.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and compare offers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Develop procurement strategies and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Resolve supplier or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Review and update procurement policies and procedures.
- Implement risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
Other requirements:
- Experience in EPC (Engineering, procurement and Construction) is required.
- Candidates living within Ajah axis are preferable.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month.
