Role Summary
They are looking for a smart People and Growth Lead to build and lead their talent strategy, foster a high-performance culture, and align hiring with business growth. This role goes beyond traditional HR — it combines recruitment, culture-building, performance enablement, strategic people development, and growth pursuit to help scale our mission.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Port Harcourt
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Strategy: Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for sales, operations, and tech teams
- Growth-Aligned Hiring: Hire individuals who directly contribute to KPIs like sales, partner success, and retention
- Culture Development: Shape a culture grounded in speed, learning, ownership, and collaboration
- Performance Management: Implement clear goals, feedback loops, and growth plans across teams
- Franchise & Field Support: Work closely with franchise and sales leads to optimize team structure and effectiveness
- Learning & Development: Design onboarding and upskilling systems to improve productivity and retention
- HR Operations: Oversee contracts, HR policies, compliance, and employee relations
- People Analytics: Use HR data to inform hiring, performance reviews, and growth strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, people operations, or growth-focused talent roles
- Strong understanding of performance management, recruiting for sales teams, and team development
- Background in tech startups, insurance, FMCG, telco, marketing, or other sales-driven industries
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with HR systems, KPIs, and compliance
- Knowledge of Nigerian labor law and HR best practices
Bonus Advantage
- Prior sales experience, especially in FMCG, insurance, or telecom sectors
- Experience supporting distributed or franchise teams
- Familiarity with mission-driven or social impact ventures
- HR certifications (e.g. CIPM, SHRM, HRCI)
