Job Summary:
The Patient Recruitment Specialist is responsible for identifying, screening, and enrolling qualified participants into clinical trials in Houston, Texas and Los Angeles, California. This role supports the successful execution of study enrollment goals by using targeted outreach strategies, maintaining a strong understanding of protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, and fostering relationships with referring physicians and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential study participants through internal databases, community outreach, digital platforms, and physician referrals.
- Pre-screen candidates by reviewing medical histories and conducting phone or in-person screenings based on study inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Collaborate with clinical coordinators and investigators to ensure seamless transition of pre-qualified candidates into the enrollment process.
- Manage and update patient recruitment logs and databases accurately and in compliance with study protocols and GCP standards.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies (e.g., social media campaigns, community events, physician engagement).
- Serve as the first point of contact for potential participants, providing education about study purpose, procedures, and participation expectations.
- Monitor recruitment performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet enrollment targets.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and regulatory compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
- Able to recruit participants in Houston, TX and Los Angeles, CA
- Experience with Instagram, Tik-Tok, Facebook and google Ads
- 1–3 years of experience in clinical research or patient recruitment (required).
- Knowledge of GCP, HIPAA, and clinical trial protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple studies at once.
- Experience using EMRs, recruitment software, or CTMS is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov, StudyKIK, TrialWire)
- Ability to engage diverse communities and underserved populations
