Role: Operations Manager
About the Role
We’re looking for a process enforcer — someone who thrives on structure, systems, and accountability. As our Operations Manager, you’ll support the COO in keeping the company running smoothly by ensuring team-wide compliance with our standard operating procedures (SOPs), optimizing processes, and driving operational discipline. You’ll also leverage data to identify bottlenecks, draw insights, and recommend business improvements.
Job Description
1. Process Enforcement & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all teams
- Audit operational workflows regularly and close compliance gaps
- Hold team members accountable for following agreed processes and timelines
- Act as the enforcer of operational discipline across departments
2. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track key business and operations metrics to measure performance and efficiency
- Interpret data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Generate and present weekly/monthly reports to the COO with actionable insights
- Make data-informed recommendations that drive execution and strategic decisions
3. Process Optimization
- Identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable, more efficient systems
- Review, update, and document SOPs to reflect evolving processes
- Introduce tools and structures that enhance team productivity and consistency
- Lead continuous improvement efforts across the business
4. Cross-functional Coordination
- Work across departments to ensure alignment on processes and timelines
- Support execution of company-wide initiatives by ensuring operational readiness
- Communicate updates, process changes, and expectations clearly and promptly
- Step in to resolve process-related friction between teams
5. Risk Identification & Resolution
- Proactively spot potential delays, risks, or execution gaps and escalate appropriately
- Develop contingency plans to handle critical operational disruptions
- Take initiative to resolve bottlenecks and remove blockers in real time
- Maintain clear escalation paths for recurring or complex issues
Who You Are
- You have a strong operations background with about 5-7 years experience— you’ve run ops before and understand how to keep a business engine running
- You’ve worked in a tech startup or high-growth environment and are comfortable with the pace and ambiguity
- You have solid data analysis skills — you can look at numbers and tell a story that leads to action
- You’re process-oriented — you believe structure doesn’t kill creativity, it enhances it
- You’re detail-obsessed and execution-focused
- You’re comfortable working with cross-functional teams and can manage up, down, and sideways
