Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) – Fintech
Job Overview:
Our client is a leading Fintech company focused on delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance financial solutions. They are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team. This role will be onsite for the first two months and then transition into a hybrid model.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing databases in fintech environments, with a deep understanding of security, performance tuning, and high availability systems.
Location: Lagos (Onsite for 2 months, then Hybrid)
Salary: ₦700,000 (No additional bonus or benefits)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities :

• Administer, monitor, and maintain production and development databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
• Conduct regular performance tuning, query optimization, and database refactoring.
• Work closely with developers to ensure application/database integration and troubleshoot issues.
• Enforce data security policies in compliance with fintech standards and regulations.
• Implement and monitor replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
Support audit and compliance requests related to database operations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years proven experience as a DBA in a fintech or financial services environment.
• Strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
• Experience with data encryption, backup tools, replication, and high availability systems.
• Good understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex database-related issues.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Month 1–2: Full-time Onsite (Lagos)
From Month 3: Hybrid (Mix of onsite and remote work)
