Job Title: Associate Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
The Associate Mechanical Engineer will support the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems in various client projects. This role involves applying engineering principles, preparing technical drawings, performing calculations, and assisting senior engineers in delivering high-quality solutions across building services, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, fire protection, and plumbing
- Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and performance analyses
- Prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and equipment schedules
- Create and modify CAD drawings and 3D models (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, architectural, etc.)
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities
- Assist in preparing reports, project documentation, and client presentations
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards (ASHRAE, ISO, ASME), and regulatory requirements
- Support procurement by reviewing vendor documentation and equipment data sheets
- Monitor project timelines and provide status updates to project managers
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering,
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SolidWorks, or similar software
- Knowledge of mechanical design tools and calculations
- Familiarity with local and international engineering standards
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Project)
Experience
· 4 - 5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering design or consulting
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and work under supervision
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Experience:
- Refinery close out audit project: 10 years (Preferred)
