Job Summary
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring all equipment, facilities, and utilities across Uncle Stan’s Foods outlets are fully operational, safe, and maintained to company standards. The role covers preventive maintenance, quick repairs, and coordination with vendors to minimise downtime and maintain a seamless customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities1. Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen appliances (fryers, ovens, grills, refrigeration units, blenders, etc.) to avoid service disruption.
- Carry out routine checks on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and water supply.
- Ensure generators and backup power systems are in good working condition.
- Promptly attend to urgent repair requests from outlets to minimise downtime.
2. Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all outlets and the central kitchen.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and records for all equipment.
- Identify potential equipment failures early and take corrective action.
3. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety standards, hygiene requirements, and company policies.
- Report and resolve any facility-related hazards (e.g., leaks, faulty wiring, slippery floors).
- Work with the Operations and Audit teams to ensure equipment meets food safety standards.
4. Vendor & Spare Parts Management
- Source, evaluate, and liaise with external vendors for specialised repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for urgent repairs.
- Verify and approve vendor repair quality before final payment.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Submit weekly maintenance reports to the Operations Manager.
- Record all maintenance activities, costs, and equipment downtime for management review.
- Track warranty periods and service agreements for major equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- OND / HND / B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Management-related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience, preferably in QSR, hospitality, or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen and catering equipment maintenance.
- Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
Working Conditions

- Physically demanding, with lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
