Job Title: Legal Officer / Corporate Lawyer

Job Summary:
The Legal Officer will provide expert legal support and guidance to Prixair Group, ensuring that all company operations and business transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations. The role requires experience in corporate law, contract management, litigation, regulatory compliance, and risk management across diverse industries such as hospitality, media, retail, training, real estate, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, leases, NDAs, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business operations.
- Manage and oversee all litigation matters involving the company, liaising with external solicitors when necessary.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all aspects of the Group’s operations.
- Conduct legal research and provide accurate, timely legal opinions.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across all business units.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and policies that may affect the Group’s interests.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings when required.
- Handle company secretarial duties such as preparing board resolutions, filing with CAC, and maintaining statutory registers.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on legal topics, such as contract management, IP rights, or employment law.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as CAC, FIRS, NAFDAC, EFCC, etc.
- Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to support audit and due diligence activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B); BL from the Nigerian Law School is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5–7 years post-call legal experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-sectoral environment.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate, commercial, labor, and property law.
- Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory services.
- Litigation and dispute resolution skills are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is required.
