Responsibilities
• Prompt execution and sealing of agreements and documents.
• Confirmation of Bonds and Guarantees.
• Conducting legal research.
• Attending to the welfare of Directors as directed by the Company Secretary.
• Attending to sundry requests to the Company Secretary Department from other Departments/SBUs in the Bank. • Liaising with the Centralized Administration Unit of General Services Department and the Foreign Banking Services Department for the processing of payments to Directors and for other departmental needs.
• Preparation of extracts from the Sealing Register for consideration and ratification at First Bank Limited Board meetings.
• Fire Warden for the Department.
• Performing any other duty as may be assigned by the Company Secretary and Assistant Company Secretary.
• As part of the Bank’s Information Security requirements, maintain the security of all Information entrusted to the staff and comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education
Minimum Education: First degree in Law and Professional Certificate of Barrister at Law (compulsory).
Experience
Minimum experience: At least two years post call, legal practice in chambers
