Role Description
Experienced Lead, Inspection Engineer to oversee the implementation of inspection and painting programs on a major offshore FPSO, ensuring full compliance with inspection policies, international standards, and HSE requirements.
You will lead a multidisciplinary inspection team, manage specialist contractors, and serve as the focal point for all inspection activities—from subsea and topside to lifting equipment and corrosion monitoring. This role demands strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines to maintain asset integrity and operational safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise offshore inspection & painting operations.
- Lead site inspection teams, corrosion monitoring crews, and contractors.
- Maintain integrity registers and oversee temporary repair tracking.
- Coordinate with classification societies for hull & machinery compliance.
- Manage inspection records using UNISUP/SAP, validate results, and report to stakeholders.
- Initiate ad-hoc inspections when required and address emergent integrity issues.
- Provide technical expertise in corrosion control, welding, and lifting equipment certification. Work closely with HSE, marine, and production teams to align inspection programs with operational needs.

Qualification
- BSc or equivalent in Engineering.
- 10+ years in oil & gas inspection operations, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of NDT methods, API 510 & API 570, corrosion mechanisms, cathodic protection, lifting equipment inspection, and welding quality control.
- Familiarity with FPSO systems, hull/machinery inspection, and subsea integrity management.
- Proficiency in UNISUP/SAP Inspection Solution and working knowledge of RBI methodology. Excellent leadership, reporting, and English communication skills.
