- The IT Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all technology systems within the hotel/group, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent guest experiences.
- This role requires a strong focus on data security, system efficiency, and alignment of technology solutions with the hospitality business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain hotel IT systems including PMS (Property Management System), POS, telephone systems, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and other hospitality-related software.
- Ensure the smooth running of IT operations to support front office, F&B, reservations, housekeeping, and other departments.
- Oversee network infrastructure, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Implement and maintain data security policies, backup, and disaster recovery systems.
- Provide timely IT support and troubleshooting to staff and resolve system issues.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for IT solutions and support.
- Train employees on relevant IT systems and promote best practices in system usage.
- Monitor IT budgets, control costs, and recommend technology upgrades to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations on data protection and cybersecurity.
- Support digital initiatives to enhance guest experiences (e.g., mobile check-in, digital menus, online booking tools).
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality systems (PMS, POS, CRM, ERP).
- Expertise in networking, database management, and system integration.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical staff.
