Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to join our team.
- The Inventory Officer will be responsible for overseeing inventory management and control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient warehouse operations.
- The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in a warehouse environment and possess strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating inventory records
- Conducting regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies
- Monitoring inventory movements, including receiving, issuing, and stock transfers
- Recording discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
- Coordinating with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Implementing inventory control measures to minimize losses and improve accuracy
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels
- Developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures
- Performing regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues and implement process improvements
- Anticipating future inventory needs through data analysis
- Evaluating suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
- Optimizing inventory control procedures
- Inspecting levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages
- Ensuring adequate product stock for all distribution channels and customer demand
- Recording daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
Requirements
- BSc / HND in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a warehouse or inventory management role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
