Job Summary:
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory operations in both the supermarket and pharmacy sections. This includes monitoring stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory records, supervising stock movement, minimizing wastage, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure the timely replenishment of goods. The role ensures optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and expired products, especially in the pharmacy where regulation and compliance are critical.
Key Responsibilities:Inventory Control
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) methods are followed to reduce expiry and waste.
- Maintain records of stock movement including transfers, sales, adjustments, and returns.
Stock Ordering & Replenishment
- Forecast demand based on sales trends and seasonal changes.
- Prepare and process purchase orders for stock replenishment.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Track orders and follow up on backorders, delays, or shortages.
- Monitor expiry dates and batch numbers of pharmaceutical products.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and analyze inventory reports for management.
- Identify trends in stock movement, slow-moving items, and wastage.
- Recommend actions to reduce costs and improve stock efficiency.
Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise stock clerks, storekeepers, and inventory assistants.
- Train staff on inventory procedures and stock handling.
- Coordinate with sales floor staff to understand fast-moving products.
System Management
- Use inventory management software or POS systems to track and control stock.
- Ensure all items are correctly labeled and barcoded.
- Maintain accurate database of product descriptions, pricing, and quantities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory or stock management, preferably in a supermarket. a retail or pharmacy environment is a must.
- Familiarity with inventory software and Microsoft Excel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
