Job Title: Head, Micro Loan

Reporting Line: Chief Commercial Officer

Type: Fixed - term contract (renewable annually)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary:

The Head, Micro-Loan will lead and oversee the implementation of the Bank’s Community Impact Project, ensuring that community-based lending operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with institutional goals. This role will manage the Cluster Team Leads and be responsible for driving strategic execution across pilot states, product performance, credit quality, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the rollout and scaling of the Community Impact Initiative across designated states

• Supervise and support Cluster Team Leads to achieve performance targets

• Develop and refine credit delivery processes tailored for community-based lending

• Ensure loan policies and risk controls are adhered to across clusters

• Analyze product performance and provide periodic reports to senior management

• Coordinate recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of field teams

• Facilitate collaboration with credit, operations, digital, and marketing teams

• Drive field visits to monitor cluster and CIO activities

• Ensure technology tools are effectively deployed and utilized by field teams

• Recommend continuous improvements to enhance customer outreach and impact.

• Supervises all Cluster Team Leads across pilot communities

• Collaborates with digital, IT, HR, and credit departments.
  

Job Qualification & Requirements:

• Minimum of HND/BSc in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in micro-lending or field operations management

• Strong analytical, leadership, and project management skills

• Deep understanding of credit risk management and community lending

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• Proficiency in digital tools and mobile-based lending platforms

• Willingness to travel frequently and work within underserved communities
