Field Risk Officer

We’re hiring a Field Risk Officer! If you have strong investigative skills and experience in loan risk assessment, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field verification of loan applicants’ information, including residential addresses, guarantors, and business locations.
• Perform due diligence and risk assessments on prospective clients before loan disbursement.
• Monitor borrowers’ repayment performance and identify early warning signs of default.
• Conduct periodic visits to client locations for monitoring and recovery follow-up when necessary.
• Prepare detailed field reports and recommend approval or decline of loan applications based on findings.
• Collaborate with credit, sales, and collections teams to ensure quality loan portfolio growth.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, credit procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support investigations into fraudulent activities and provide timely escalation to management.

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any related field.
• At least 1–3 years’ experience in credit risk, loan verification, or collections within the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and travel extensively within assigned locations.
