Responsibilities:

• Analyze current farm operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial records to suggest improvements.
• Develop and implement planting and harvesting schedules, ensuring clear communication of expectations to staff.
• Conduct regular inspections of crops and livestock, and perform soil and water tests.
• Manage inventory, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other necessary supplies.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
• Handle the marketing and sale of farm products such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, and grains.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in recruiting and training new staff members.
• Work with senior management to prepare budgets and financial reports.
Build and maintain professional networks and stay informed about agricultural advancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, plant health, or a related field.
• Additional coursework in business management or administration is advantageous.
• Extensive experience in farming, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working in a greenhouse and irrigation farming.
• Strong passion for agriculture.
• General knowledge of animal production and health is essential but not compulsory.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a medium to large farm setting.
