Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Farm Assistant to support daily operations at our fish processing site. The successful candidate will work closely with the processing team to ensure smooth handling, cleaning, packaging, and storage of fish products while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality control. This role offers free accommodation, KPI-based commissions, and clear opportunities to grow into higher-level management roles within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily processing of catfish, including cleaning, filleting, drying, and packaging.
- Operate and maintain processing equipment under supervision.
- Ensure hygiene and safety standards are followed in all processing activities.
- Load and unload materials, fish, and supplies.
- Monitor product quality and report any irregularities to the supervisor.
- Assist in inventory checks and stock management.
- Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.
- Support other farm-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in aquaculture, fish processing, or food production is an advantage but not mandatory (training will be provided).
- Physically fit and able to work in wet, cold, or warm environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices in food handling.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Punctual and dependable.
Working Conditions:
- On-site role at our fish processing facility in Ilorin.
- Work may involve standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
