Job Title: Factory Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Calabar
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Factory Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst to join our food processing plant team in Calabar. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in FMCG manufacturing, cost accounting, and distributor management. This role requires strong financial acumen to support efficient factory operations, optimize costs, and ensure financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the factory.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
- Oversee factory funds management including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow.
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
- Perform product costing and monitor profitability to support business
objectives.
- Control operating expenses, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with distributors to optimize sales and revenue growth.
- Prepare and submit detailed financial reports, including periodic updates on factory performance.
- Lead budget preparation and ongoing financial planning activities.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in FMCG manufacturing and distributor management.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven skills in inventory management and cost control.
- Hands-on experience with fund management and financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of financial controls, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, Sage).
