Job Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the facility, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong background in facilities management, mechanical knowledge, and leadership skills to supervise a team of maintenance personnel. The Facilities Manager will be instrumental in implementing maintenance management strategies, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring all systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing are maintained to high standards.
- Supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and manage risk proactively.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems.
- Lead the daily operation and maintenance of buildings, utilities, and equipment.
- Manage vendor contracts and service providers (cleaning, security, repairs).
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards.
- Collaborate with HR to enhance the employee experience through workplace design and services.
- Develop and manage facility budgets and improvement projects.
- Collaborate with project management teams on facility upgrades and renovations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Provide training to staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field with strong supervisory experience.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
- Proficient in reading schematics and understanding electrical systems; electrical experience is essential.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating leadership capabilities.
