Bistrot Samantha is a lively, chef-led kitchen blending creative flair with honest, comforting food. Our team is passionate, professional, and fast on their feet—and we’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to help keep the back-of-house running like clockwork.
The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the kitchen team with daily prep, cleaning duties, and maintaining high hygiene standards. You’ll be a crucial part of the service, helping ensure dishes go out smoothly and the kitchen stays organised under pressure.
What We’re Looking For
At least 3 years of experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Confident with prep work and comfortable following kitchen systems
Physically fit, reliable, and ready to work on your feet
Positive attitude, punctual, and a genuine team player
Experience with mise en place, stock rotation, and daily cleaning routines
Key Responsibilities
Prepping ingredients to support daily service
Keeping workstations and equipment clean and sanitised
Assisting chefs with plating and service where needed
Receiving and storing deliveries correctly
Supporting with end-of-day cleaning and closing routines
