? We're Hiring: Director of Education – Scholars Academy of Football Excellence (SAFE)

? Lagos, Nigeria | Full-Time | Education & Leadership | Start Date: Flexible

SAFE is a pioneering secondary school redefining the intersection of academics, character development, and elite football training in Africa. Our mission is bold: to produce a generation of scholar-athletes prepared to lead on and off the pitch — in Africa and beyond.

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Director of Education to lead the academic and character-building arm of SAFE, ensuring excellence in learning outcomes while integrating sports into the daily rhythm of education.

? Your Role As Director of Education, you will:

• Design, oversee, and refine a world-class academic curriculum tailored to young footballers.
• Recruit and lead a dynamic faculty passionate about youth development.
• Embed critical 21st-century skills: leadership, communication, resilience, and teamwork.
• Ensure academic alignment with local standards and international best practices.
• Lead on character development, personal discipline, and values-based learning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with our football training and wellness teams.
Be the public and internal champion for SAFE’s unique dual-track approach.

? You Should Have

• A minimum of 7–10 years in education, ideally in leadership (e.g., Principal, Vice- Principal, Academic Director).
• Experience developing or running innovative school models.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian curriculum; Cambridge or IB experience is a plus.
• A passion for sport and its role in youth development.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and mentor teachers.
The strategic ability to scale a school model from idea to national/international footprint.
