About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dietetics Research Co-ordinator to lead and manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of nutrition-related research projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in dietetics, public health, or clinical research and a passion for evidence-based nutrition and data-driven impact.
Key Responsibilities
Design and coordinate all aspects of dietetics and nutrition-focused research studies that inform the development and improvement of the company’s wellness app. Conduct literature reviews to ensure that nutritional content and recommendations are based on current global and local guidelines. Translate nutritional science into evidence-based, culturally relevant meal plans, recommendations, and features within the app. Support in the preparation of white papers, reports, or articles that showcase the scientific credibility of the platform. Ensure research activities comply with regulatory and ethical standards. Supervise and support field staff, interns, or research assistants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into user-facing tools and algorithms. Maintain strong documentation and contribute to grant applications, academic collaborations, or funding proposals when needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Public Health, or related field (PHD candidate or holder preferred).
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in research coordination or academic research.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition research methodologies and ethics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and research methodology.
- Excellent communication, project management, and documentation skills.
- Passion for public health and nutritional improvement in the Nigerian context.
- Nice to Have
- Experience working with underserved populations or NGOs.
- Familiarity with research grant writing or donor reporting. Fluency in a local Nigerian language is a plus.
