We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps/Security Specialist to lead infrastructure automation, system reliability, and cybersecurity for mDoc's digital health platforms. In this role, you will design and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments, implement robust DevOps practices, and ensure compliance with healthcare data protection standards. Your work will enable secure, seamless delivery of health solutions across Africa.
Key Responsibilities (Additional/Enhanced)Infrastructure & Deployment Automation
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, deployment, and scaling of services.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, CCP) to support fast-paced product development and rollouts.
System Monitoring & Reliability
- Implement observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic) to monitor uptime, system health, and performance.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of services across environments (staging, QA, production).
- Create and manage alerting and incident response procedures to minimize downtime.
Security & Compliance Leadership
- Lead the implementation of security best practices across development, deployment, and infrastructure layers.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and system hardening.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, NDPR), implementing encryption, access controls, and audit trails.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with developers and product teams to embed DevSecOps culture into the development lifecycle.
- Support engineers with local environment setup, deployment issues, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Contribute to technical documentation for infrastructure and security protocols.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and adopt new DevOps and security tools and practices that improve developer experience, platform resilience, and data safety.
- Lead post-mortems, root cause analysis, and retrospectives after outages or security events.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Updated)
- 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and security operations.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (especially AWS or CCP), CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins), and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of network security, data encryption, identity and access management, and secure development practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with healthcare data security regulations (HIPAA, NDPR, etc.) and audit processes.
- Experience conducting security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability remediation.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Pay: ₦600,000.00 - ₦1,400,000.00 per month
