Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis & Control:
- Monitor and analyze raw material, labor, and overhead costs associated with palm plantation and processing operations.
- Provide timely reports on cost trends and recommend measures to reduce operational costs.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Track budget performance and report variances with detailed explanations.
- Inventory & Fixed Assets Management:
- Collaborate with the store and procurement teams to ensure accurate valuation of stock.
- Monitor inventory movements and support physical stock counts.
- Maintain cost records for fixed assets and monitor depreciation schedules.
- Cost Accounting Records:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for internal decision-making.
- Maintain cost allocation systems and ensure accurate coding of expenses.
- Production Costing:
- Analyze the cost of production per ton of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernel, etc.
- Support pricing strategies by providing cost-per-unit and margin analysis.
- Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure adherence to IFRS and internal accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits with relevant cost and accounting records.
Requirements:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the agribusiness, FMCG, or manufacturing sector.
